I would like you to know that I wish for you to have the best of experiences here on our forum.
I would love to know what your thinking and feeling regarding our unique and perhaps seemingly strange engine technology.

The DeVaux engine has been around for years. The original Bourke engine invented by Russell Bourke is what started it all. Russell discovered that detonation which commonly harm or destroys conventional gasoline engines could be harnessed to create a lot more usable power at the power take off shaft (crankshaft).

This discovery alone was not enough. For his engines of the time, even though state of the art, were not capable of sustaining the super lean air fuel detonation process for very long periods of time before suffering breakage at the crankshaft webbings or powered devices bolted to them due to high frequency vibrations and other factors.

Also the original Bourke engine design was inherently only capable of sustaining internal detonation within an extremely narrow R.P.M. band and with special skills and knowledge that only Russell and Melvin knew at the time.

Strangely enough, this fact was widely promoted by Russell. He was quite the showman and this fact was one of the things that ruined his dreams of fame and success. "I am the only one that can make them run". Think about that for a moment. Would you purchase an engine that you can't make do what the inventor claims? NOT!That was a big Homer Simpson DOH! on Russells part. Hey, nobody is perfect. But this fact alone is not what brought Russell's dreams crashing down.

There were special interests working against him and that was a huge part of what caused the poor man to give up and fail in the end.

The original Bourke engine would fail for one reason, due to the tremendously increased amount of energy released on each power stroke. These engines stayed glued together pretty well for a period of time. None the less they would not last out in the real world as a common prime mover to power all things which require or are adapted to piston type engines.

Larry Preddy, owner of P.R.I.D.E. of America LLC. puts it into words by saying that "the internal workings of the Bourke engine was likened to firing a howitzer back and forth thousands of times a second".

Think about that for a moment.

Know that Russell was a famous man in his own right. He was well respected and loved. He lived the life of 10 men and was known for being a gas to hang out with, learn from and he could fix anything. He was the founder of a town. He was a Sherriff. He was a highly respected war veteran. He was the guy all other engineers used to go to when they were stumped!

Russell Bourke devoted his life to the betterment of our world and his wife Lois.

Russell won races with his Bourke powered vehicles and boats. He won well deserved recognition for his work and discoveries.

In my mind, Russell Bourke is the father of internal detonation technology and the words 'bourke cycle' will live forever. Internal detonation is a 'bourke cycle' just as the words for conventional combustion engines have stuck ever since 'otto cycle'.

Poor doctor Otto. He never had a chance to perfect his cutting edge engine design before the big special interest groups took over his work and screwed it all up by making it a prime mover and it hasn't changed or improved one iota since that time!

You think your driving a car powered by the best kind of internal combustion engine there could be? Think again. Efficient and environmentally friendly? NOT! Hybrid schmibrid. People don't realize how they are being duped into believing a bunch of hogwash.

Unfortunately he met with an untimely death (natural causes) and died way before he should or could have. But back then he actually lived longer than the average man if you know your history.

People are living well into their hundreds now thanks to modern technology and discoveries of what causes man kind's to become susceptible to illness in the first place. Yes we do live in a modern world. But we all still have a long way to go in many ways.

Melvin Vaux is the inventor of the DeVaux Engine. He is still alive and well. He is 80+ years old.
He is just as sharp as he has always been too.
He worked long ago as Russell's understudy. He became acquainted with Russell back in the late 40's and was just a pup age wise by comparison.

He was and is an ingenious man in his own right.
He has carried on Russell's work. His work.

This is why we are where we are today. Because of ingenious caring and wise men like Russell Bourke and Melvin Vaux.

People like those I am honored and proud to be associated with now like Larry Preddy,founder and executive director or P.R.I.D.E of America LLC. Chuck Kemner,owner and president of C.P. engines Inc. and others.

You will meet these incredible human beings along the way as we move forward toward final production stages and begin to actually put this remarkable yet simple technology to work for the good of our planet and every living thing on it.

There are other organizations on this planet doing the same kinds of things and we fully support their efforts toward bringing correct technology to the forefront.Where it rightfully belongs. It's time to stop the unnecessary wasting of our natural resources and degredation of our environment.Unnecessary pollution has been and is screwing up everything for all of us. Believe it or not, it could end up destroying every thing and everyone on earth.

These great men, Russell Bourke and Melvin Vaux knew what is happening to our world today was going to happen if somebody didn't do something about it. Russell gave and Melvin has been giving his life to better conditions on this planet for over 60 years! Won't you join us?
